Gathering Hymn
Greeting
Leader:            In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
All:                   Amen.
Leader:            May the grace and peace of God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ be with us.
All:                   Blessed be God.
Penitential Rite
Leader:            Brothers and Sisters, let us acknowledge our sins and so prepare ourselves to welcome the Lord into our hearts

All:
I confess to almighty God
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have greatly sinned,
in my thoughts and in my words,
in what I have done and what I have failed to do,
through my fault, through my fault,
through my most grievous fault;
therefore I ask blessed Mary, ever-Virgin,
all the Angels and Saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our God.
Leader:            May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.
All:                   Amen.
LITURGY OF THE WORD
First Reading – Responsorial Psalm –  Second Reading- Gospel
(Preferably following the Liturgy of the Day)
(Reading of a scripture reflection of the day if desired)
Silent Reflection
Sharing on the Word of God by a member of the group/family or by all members.

Creed (if on a Sunday)
I believe in God,
the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
He descended into hell;
on the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of Saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
Amen.

General Intercessions
Leader:            Let us now offer to God our prayers and our needs.
 Members articulate their petitions.
After each petition, all respond:  Lord hear our prayer.
After all intercessions have been mentioned, the Leader continues:
Leader:            Almighty God, you have heard our prayers and our needs. We ask that you grant them through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen.

Prayer of Spiritual Communion
Leader:            At the Saviour’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say
All:                   Our Father Who Art in Heaven …
All:
My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
Thanksgiving Prayer/Hymn
Anima Christi
Soul of Christ, sanctify me; Body of Christ, save me; Blood of Christ, inebriate me; Water from the side of Christ, wash me; Passion of Christ, strengthen me; O good Jesus, hear me; within Thy wounds, hide me; let me never be separated from Thee; from the evil one, deliver me; at the hour of my death, call me and bid me come to Thee, that with Thy saints, I may praise Thee forever and ever. Amen.
Concluding Prayer
Leader:
Let us pray,
O God, our refuge in trials,
our strength in sickness, our comfort in sorrow,
spare your people, we pray,
that, though rightly chastised now by affliction,
they may find relief at last through your loving mercy.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
All:                   Amen.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONAL PRAYERS

PRAYERS TO OUR LADY
Consecration of the Sick to Mary
O kind and good Mother, whose own soul was pierced by the sword of sorrow, look upon us while, in our sickness, we arraign ourselves beside you on the Calvary where your Jesus hangs. Dowered with the high grace of suffering, and hopeful of fulfilling in our own flesh what is wanting in our sharing of Christ’s passion, on behalf of his Mystical Body, the Church, we consecrate to you ourselves and our pain. We pray that you will place them on that Altar of the Cross to which Jesus is affixed. May they be little victims of propitiation for our salvation, for the salvation of all peoples. O Mother of Sorrows, accept this consecration. Strengthen our hopeful hearts, that as partakers of Christ’s sufferings we may also share in his comfort now and for evermore. Amen.
Hail Holy Queen
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy! Hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope; to you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy towards us; and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Leader:            Pray for us, most holy Mother of God.
All:                   That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Prayer for God’s Mercy: COVID-19
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of good health and peace that we have enjoyed for so many years. As we find ourselves in this time of crisis today, we ask for your divine intervention and mercy to be upon each of us.
Come and guide the minds of those working to discover a treatment to the COVID-19 virus. Grant them wisdom, knowledge, and clarity of mind, so that all peoples will be free from the threat of this ailment.
We also pray for the healthcare workers that are standing in the front line of this battle. Father, we thank you for their hearts of service, putting the needs of society before their own, generously responding to the cry of Your people. We ask that You will grant them strength and protection. As they give of themselves in selfless service, may You fill them with your Holy Spirit as they work to be Your healing hands and feet!
Father, we also surrender to You all those who have been afflicted with the virus. Grant them Your healing grace, merciful Father, so that they may recover swiftly and continue to be witnesses of Your love in their lives.
Mother Mary, we ask for your intercession in this great time of need. Cover each of us with your blue mantle of protection, so that we may be preserved in good health to continue to glorify your son, Jesus Christ. We make this prayer through Christ, our Saviour and Redeemer.
Amen.

Act Of Consecration To The Holy Family
O Jesus, our most loving Redeemer, Who having come to enlighten the world, with Your teaching and example, willed to pass the greater part of Your life in humility and subjection to Mary and Joseph in the poor home of Nazareth, thus sanctifying the Family that was to be an example for all Christian families, graciously receive our family as it dedicates and consecrates itself to You this day.
Defend us, guard us and establish among us Your holy fear, true peace and unity in Christian love: in order that by conforming ourselves to the divine pattern of Your Family we may be able, all of us without exception, to attain to eternal happiness.
We consecrate to You this day, the trials, joys and all the happiness of our family life and ask You to preside over our gathering together, to bless our spiritual and temporal affairs, to ward off all danger from us, to sanctify our joys and comfort our sorrows. Pour out Your blessings on all family members, present and absent, and be merciful to our departed ones.
Mary, dear Mother of Jesus and our Mother, by your kind intercession make this our humble offering acceptable in the sight of Jesus and obtain for us His graces and blessings. Pray to Jesus too, for all the families of the world, to guard the cradle of the newborn, the schools of the young and their vocations.
Saint Joseph, most holy Guardian of Jesus and Mary, assist us by your prayers in all our spiritual and temporal necessities; that we may be able to praise our divine Saviour Jesus, together with Mary and you, for all eternity.
Prayer to St Michael For Protection
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the malice and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.
CONCLUDING RITE
Lay Blessing
Leader:            May the Lord bless us, protect us from all evil and bring us unto everlasting life.
All:                   Amen.
Dismissal
Leader:            Let us go in peace, glorifying the Lord by our lives.
All:                   Thanks be to God.
